Who is Peak Performance K9?
My name is Jess, and along with my pack of 4, we are Peak Performance K9!
My journey began around 10 years ago with a dog reactive Beagle cross, Dexter. He opened up a whole new world for me around training, behavioural modification and dog sports. I wanted to delve deeper, know more, learn more, help more! After volunteering for Guide Dogs, I gained my golden girl, Suki, the dog that really sparked my dog training career.
You name it, we’ve done it! Obedience training, scentwork, hoopers, agility, gundog, tracking, tricks - Suki LOVES it all, only if it involves food!
After climbing a few mountains, jumping through lots of hoops, and gaining three more dogs over the years, here we are today!
I am a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers and I am currently studying with the CIDBT to continue developing my knowledge and skills, allowing me to help as many dogs and owners as possible. I also volunteer for Dog A.I.D, an amazing charity supporting owners in training their own assistance dogs - this is so rewarding!
I love working with those ‘problem dogs’, the ‘difficult ones’ the ones that are ‘hard to live with’. I love being able to make a difference, working alongside owners, creating positive lasting change and most importantly helping owners build a stronger bond with their dog!

Did you know…
My favourite discipline is Gundog training. It combines obedience, complex behaviours and training, as well as being a great breed specific outlet! It also means I get to spend days in the beautiful British countryside with my dogs, there is nothing better!
The Team
Suki
Meet Suki! A 7 year old Labrador x Golden Retriever. The trainee guide dog puppy that was destined to be mine. Steady, calm, relaxed, but with a very cheeky side. My soul dog.
The one you will see regularly as my ‘stooge dog’.
My Soul Dog
Isla
Meet Isla! The fiery red head! A 5 year old sparky Fox Red Labrador, full of enthusiasm and zest for life. Always giving it her all, there is no stopping this girl. My pocket rocket.
My Pocket Rocket
My Whirlwind
Patsy
Meet P! A 4 year old Working Cocker Spaniel. The tiny dog I never knew I needed, and wouldn’t be without. Testing, manic, and a little bit odd - a typical spaniel but absolutely amazing. My little whirlwind.
Wren
My Tiny Terror
Meet Wren! A 6 month old Labrador puppy. In typical puppy fashion, she’s silly, goofy, lovable but she’s also smart, fast, egar - everything I was looking for in my next gundog prospect. Together we’ve got big plans ahead!
