Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 1 May 2026
These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Peak Performance K9 (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the client (“you”, “your”) for the provision of dog training, behavioural, and dog sport services.
By booking or paying for any session, class, consultation, or package with Peak Performance K9, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
1. Payments, Bookings and Fees
All bookings must be paid for in full 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment date and time.
Any sessions or bookings not paid in full within this timeframe may be cancelled by us.
Prices reflect professional expertise, preparation time, travel (where applicable), resources and follow-up support.
2. Classes & Block Bookings
Training classes, packages, and block bookings must be paid for in full at least 72 hours before the first scheduled session.
All package, class, and block bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
No refunds or credits will be issued for unused sessions.
All package sessions must be used within 4 months of the first session date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellations and Missed Sessions
We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for cancellations or requests to reschedule.
Bookings cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled session:
Will not be refunded
Will not receive account credit
May only be rescheduled at the discretion of Peak Performance K9
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session within a class or block booking, the missed session will not be refunded or credited.
Rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Peak Performance K9 but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Cancellation by Peak Performance K9
Peak Performance K9 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any booking, class, or session due to unforeseen circumstances; illness, weather conditions, safety concerns, or other operational reasons.
Where a cancellation is made by Peak Performance K9, clients will be offered either:
A suitable alternative session date, or
A full refund for the cancelled session only
5. Training Locations
Private sessions and consultations will take place either:
At the client’s property, or
At a mutually agreed training location
Group classes and dog sport sessions will be held at a designated venue for the duration of the course unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
Peak Performance K9 reserves the right to change the training venue where necessary.
6. Owner Responsibility
You, as the legal owner or handler of your dog(s), remain fully responsible for your dog(s) at all times before, during, and after any training session, class, or event.
Your dog(s) remain under your care and control at all times and are never the responsibility of Peak Performance K9.
Where a dog presents with aggressive or high-risk behaviour:
Safety protocols must be followed (lead control, muzzle use, management plans).
Owners remain legally responsible under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and related legislation.
We may require veterinary, behavioural medicine, or specialist referral.
We are not liable for any bites, injuries, property damage, legal consequences, except where directly caused by proven negligence.
7. Training Commitment & Results
Training success depends heavily on consistency, handling, environment, and continued practice outside of sessions.
It is the client’s responsibility to continue implementing the training methods and advice provided outside of scheduled sessions in order to achieve the desired results.
Peak Performance K9 cannot guarantee specific behavioural or training outcomes.
8. Age Requirements
Any person booking a session, class, or package must be aged 18 years or over.
Children and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
The client is fully responsible for supervising any accompanying children or guests during sessions.
9. Health & Vaccinations
All dogs and puppies attending group classes or training sessions must be up to date with appropriate vaccinations and parasite prevention treatments.
Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is fit and healthy to prior to any booking.
Dogs displaying signs of illness, including vomiting, diarrhoea, contagious conditions, or any other symptoms that may pose a risk to other dogs or people, must not attend training sessions or classes.
10. Liability
While every reasonable effort is made to maintain a safe training environment, participation in dog training activities involves inherent risks.
By attending any session, class, or event, you acknowledge and accept that there is a risk of injury or damage involving dogs, people, children, equipment, or property.
Peak Performance K9 accepts no liability for:
Injury to any person or animal
Loss or damage to personal property
Illness, accidents, or incidents occurring before, during, or after training sessions
By attending training, you agree to indemnify Peak Performance K9 against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your participation.
11. Photography & Media
Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during training sessions for educational, promotional, or social media purposes.
If you do not wish for you or your dog to appear in any photographs or videos, you must notify us prior to attending your session or class.
12. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate services immediately where:
Safety protocols are ignored
Aggression history was withheld
Payment terms are breached
Behaviour towards us is abusive or inappropriate
No refunds will be provided in these circumstances.
